Hello! Welcome to My Creative Time's 112th Edition Release Blog Hop! I'm so excited that I was asked to join the Design Team...it's apparently the only way I'll ever get any crafting time. Anyway, I get to share with you this fun new die set Fancy 4x4 Card Dies & 4x4 Envelope Die. The dies include a card, nesting stitched layers, and words (I didn't use the layers), and a coordinating envelope with some extras sold separately.
I'd been wanting to watercolor lately, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to pull them out. Also, to me, watercolor lends itself to Christmas...so it's Christmas in July! The first thing was to watercolor wash on several pieces of watercolor paper, adding layers of color after each dry. One was blue, then a red one, brown, and green. Once all the papers were dry and the color I was happy with, I die-cut them. Next, I splattered paint on the pieces and let them dry again. This is actually the easiest/laziest way to watercolor.
To create this card I also used the following: Lucky Bird, Fun Stitched Ornaments & More, and Teeny Tag Holidays
